“Years of Wisdom”
 
The owl symbolizes so many things depending on what part of the world you live in. The ancient greeks and romans viewed it as a sacred carrier to the afterlife. So many others view the owl as an animal of true wisdom.
 
I personally became intrigued with owls after my accident, to the point that I have a beautiful horned owl tattooed on my left arm. For me, I pick little things from all the things I have read about the owl. For me in that moment of my accident, time stood still, and I could have gone or I could have stayed, but something gave me the ability to stay in this life and not carry onto the next. Yet in that moment, and the years that have past, I have learned so much about myself and life itself. The knowledge I have gained is immeasurable. 
 
This fun loving, colorful, wistful horned owl is drawn/painted over the song that was on during the time of my accident, "Wake Me Up" by Avicii. That song is so powerful, about growing as a person. Little did I know in that moment that I was listening to it, that I was going to become a completely different person, stronger that I could ever expect.
