Well OBVIOUSLY I do not have a sugar daddy, but I did finally decide to become apart of The Art Guild in Port Washington this past week!
I've been submitting my art for a few of their online (due to the pandemic) juried competitions and exhibitions. By doing so, I got to know the organization as a whole, and I am really impressed with what they do. Not just the exhibition aspect of the group, but the art classes, the education for younger children, and the comradery of the artists that are apart of the guild.
Being homebound since February has been extremely difficult. Sometimes those zoom calls for those Exhibition Receptions are the only facetime I get with people for weeks, that aren't medical professionals or my husband. So for them to accept my artwork into those exhibitions is INCREDIBLE, but to then get to speak with other creatives is just AMAZING!
It might seem silly to some of you reading this, but when you have only left your house 24 times since February 7th, seeing and speaking to other human beings is a big deal. Speaking to others who ACTUALLY have the same interests as you... MIND BLOWING!
I am really looking forward to seeing what this membership has instore. Not just the exhibitions but the comradery and expansion of my art that can possibly come out of it.
